Will A Home Based Business Work For You?

Posted on November 21, 2020 by Daniel & April
Create curiosity on if running a home business is for you

The answer is YES! Absolutely!

Working at home became a reality for millions of people around the world this year due to the 2020 Pandemic. Being able to work from home probably turned out a lot different that anyone imagined. Who you were working for or what job you were doing also played a big role in how your work-from-home experience went. High stress work doesn’t just disappear based on your location, throw in a few screaming kids, and the stress is sure to double. Working from home doesn’t have to be stressful you may just need a new employer… like YOURSELF.

Before the pandemic one study, in fact, concluded that nearly half of all American employees work at home. And the trend isn’t limited to the United States; 79 percent of knowledge workers globally now do at least some work outside the office.

That same study also revealed that more than 50 million Americans work independently as freelancers. With considerable overlap in the Venn diagram of home-based workers and entrepreneurs, the numbers show that starting a home-based business isn’t a just trend. It’s part of the new reality of the American workforce.

The dreams of working at home and being your own boss are still very much alive and go hand-in-hand in the modern workforce. It is now possible to start almost any kind of business from home immediately, albeit with varying degrees of investment and experience.

Starting a Home-based Business May Be Easier Than You Think

Many home-based businesses you can start with very little money and very little experience. How do we know? Because we’ve been there and we’ve done it.

As we proved time and time again you can make excellent profits even with a very small home-based business. And if you want you can grow it into a much larger legacy.

So even if you don’t have much experience or savings, you too can start your own home-based business and become highly successful with it.

So Now it’s Time to Make a Decision

Everything in life starts with a decision. It allows us to make a commitment to ourselves that we want to achieve something.

Let your WHY guide you. You’ve probably heard that a lot in the network marketing and entrepreneurial space – what is your WHY? Why are you doing this business? What are you working FOR? How will this person, place or thing be better as a result of your goals? Being super clear on these WHY’s are key. It is often what will propel you on the days you simply don’t feel like it. Your why is something that will push you when you feel like you have nothing left to give. Write it down, tell your friend, mentor, — somebody.

Once you’ve gotten your WHY’s figured out it will be easier to decide what business is right for you to dive into. If it aligns with all your WHY’s a passion for what you are starting will ignite.

Your next step is Taking Action

Now, we know you have goals and ambitions so we want you to ask yourself this; what is my plan to achieve them?

We use SMART goals a lot in defining our goals but definitely use what works best for you. That BIG and maybe even scary goal could come with 100 steps to get there and that’s OK. In fact, it’s important. Breaking down those goals into tiny steps satisfies are couple things;

  1. Makes the goal(s) manageable
  2. Helps you celebrate the smaller wins along the way
  3. Maintains your focus without overwhelm

Tips for Getting Started

Avoid going into Working from Home Blind

There are so many people who see home based business as a novelty. We hear things a lot like ‘oh it must be nice‘ — sound familiar? And so, in other words know what you’re getting yourself into. Yes, working from home is amazing and something we love but, it takes work. Often, people assume that clients and customers will just start rolling in, sorry to tell you but marketing, lead generation, strategy, etc. need to all part of the plan.

Create a Consistent and Realistic Day

When you are scheduling your days, ensure that they are sustainable for you — consistently. We totally get wanting to jam pack that schedule and say yes to every call request or zoom meeting, but avoid falling into the ‘always on’ trap.

The more consistent you can be, the more predictable you are for others as we mentioned above. It’s OK to want to do all the things, but leave some breathing room for yourself too. After all, you can’t pour from an empty cup!

Value Family Time

It’s important that you create your own boundaries on non-work hours. Family time is precious time — avoid taking calls, responding to messages or checking your email. When it’s family time turn everything else off. This, will help others respect your work time boundaries when you are respecting their family time ones.

We hope this post helps you in your journey to becoming your own boss. If you’d like to see what has worked for us with proven track records then check this out: What We Do

We are a HUGE fan of all small business, no matter what field you choose. We believe there is space for us all and we are NOT in a competition. We want everyone to succeed. So let’s cheer each other on, go check out this list from our Support Small Business post.

Collagen Is Bad For Your Wallet

Posted on November 17, 2020 by Daniel & April
Collagen is it bad for your wallet

Education announcement …. read on!

If you choose the wrong collagen type it can be really bad for your wallet that’s a BIG statement right ?!?!
But its true, there are so many rip offs out there it’s hard to choose, so I thought I’d list a few points that you should search for when you choose!

There are so many ‘me too’ products on the market….. they see collagen as a trend and try and jump on the bandwagon, without having the real knowledge, passion or understanding for collagen or the consumer. Sadly its usually for Money and the uneducated consumer always loses!

So I thought I’d educate a little on why the collagen I use is so SPECIAL as you’ve all been asking and what you should look for when purchasing collagen.

WHY IS the COLLAGEN MATRIX that I use SO SPECIAL?
Well because it’s WAY more than just collagen, its a full matrix…that’s patented!

What the heck is a matrix and why is it so important for my health, skin anti ageing etc?

First off any collagen supplement is really incomplete…WITHOUT HYALURONIC ACID AND CHONDROITIN SULPHATE , most collagen supplements have super fruits which enhance their blend or elixirs, BUT they should ALWAYS have these 2 things in there too..HA and chondroitin Sulphate…or they’re just a pretty, expensive bottle/tub of limited use blahhhhhh, no matter how potent they ‘claim’ to be!

It’s kind of like saying my kettle boils 4 times more than yours….. hmmm does it ? Can it? Where’s the research on that? Do I really need 4 times more boiled water ?!?!

Imagine collagen is like steel, its structural…its in our skin, our connective tissues, our ligaments, tendons, blood vessels and even our eyes that are 90% Collagen ! Similar to DNA it has a triple twist like a plait formation that makes it super duper strong!
Collagen is the brick in the body so as to speak……….. BUT we need hyaluronic acid as the mortar. When you see a child’s skin its moisturized and plump looking because it has an abundance of HA in it. unfortunately as we age we begin to shrivel up and lose it ………like old prunes.

Chondroitin sulphate is a chemical that is normally found in cartilage around joints in the body and is well studied to have a huge impact on joint health! and you rarely find collagen in the body without these two molecules near by, they work together!!!!

But… why Can’t I just take say a Marine beauty liquid collagen or a powder or a bovine broth for instance and have that same impact…???

Sorry but you can’t ☹️ it has a few important things missing!
We want the steel – aka collagen, we want the HA..so we plump skin glow ladies and we want the chondroitin sulphate for our joints and muscles and ligaments right ????????
There are few types of collagen out there..
TYPE 1
TYPE 2
TYPE 3 are just some.

Type 1 is usually sourced from boiled fish bits or bovine parts …it’s the skin, tendon, vasculature, organs, bone parts of these animals that’s boiled up to form a collagen, can be liquid OR powder..PS just because its a liquid does NOT mean its more effective.
It comes predominantly from fish farming or deep sea fishing sadly and has huge sustainability issues. Type 1 is limited to minimal effects in skin only and not really for anything else.

Type 2 is the collagen I choose and it comes from cartilage. Native type II collagen is a nutraceutical ingredient derived from chicken sternum cartilage. As you can imagine using chicken has ZERO sustainability issues. There are plenty of organic chicken parts that we can use up to make something else – aka Type 2 collagen instead of wasting it and throwing it out. This collagen nourishes hair, skin, joints, nails, the gut …the list goes on and on and on!

Type 3 collagen is a fibrillar collagen, and it consists of only one collagen α chain, in contrast to most other collagens.
In areas of the HUMAN body where collagen is found THREE things are generally present :

1)Collagen itself
2)HA ( hyaluronic acid)
3)Chondroitin sulphate in joints etc
So the matrix I use has of all three substances!!!!!!….. PLUS other potent ingredients!
It is NOT just a beauty liquid, its for full body and skin health! It has 7 patents, full peer reviewed clinical studies and research until my science brain can legit take no more!!!

Also when comparing forms of collagen keep this in mind….
The absorption rate of liquid collagen compared to powder or pills has been clinically proven to be 60% more effective. Our bodies use up 98% of our liquid extracts!

My last points….. I am getting there, I promise …when a product is invented or designed from the heart ❤️, rather than a me too …. it always shows through in the care of its design, the ingredients and the quality!
It’s not just a white label product!

If I am going to promote a product and purchase a product for myself, then I am all for consumer rights and transparency so I want to make sure I am purchasing a REAL quality product that helps not just 1 or 2 things but helps ⤵️ EVERYTHING!!
Joints ( I want to be stronger for longer)
Muscles ( tone & metabolism)
Hair ( I’d like thick hair please)
Nails ( strong healthy nails)
Skin ( glow & anti ageing)
Gut health (immunity and digestive health)

I WANT IT ALL !!……and if you spend money on collagen you should want it ALL too!

Hope that helps explain why I choose a collagen matrix!

Check out the images below of what the right collagen can do for you… it made a difference in my life and my friends… ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Support Small Business

Posted on October 21, 2020 by Daniel & April

Did you know you can support small business without spending a dime?

We all have friends and family who have that entrepreneurial spirit and started their own business. As much as we’d like to help them out and purchase from them, there is just no way we could buy from ALL of them without going broke! BUT there are enough people out in world to support ALL of them.

YOU have the power to connect those friends and family to the world. Someone, somewhere is out there looking for what they offer. All you have to do is follow these simple steps.

More than likely your friend or family member has a website, facebook page, or instagram account.

Look for those little thumbs up or heart icons and Tap or Click ’em!

  1. Comment something positive, even if it’s just a “WoW”
  2. Share a post you connect with from one of their accounts
  3. Tag a friend who might enjoy the post
  4. Shout them out in a post of your own, something simple
  5. Comment a fun emoji

The more often you do these things the more it helps their posts and pages get seen.

Some DO NOT’s to go by

  1. Don’t post anything negative
  2. Don’t ask for free stuff

Why We Homeschool

Posted on August 11, 2020 by Daniel & April

As a homeschool mom who has also had children spend quite a bit of time in both a public school & private school settings, I believe I have a unique view of education that many homeschool moms may not. So here are my top 25 reasons we went with homeschooling.

1. You can start at whatever time you want.

No more stressful ungodly early mornings, unless you prefer it that way! (Our house was up every morning at 4am to get everyone to the bus stop by 6:20am)

2. You can end whenever you want.

Have something planned for the day? Stop early. Having too much fun? Keep it going. It’s entirely up to you!

3. You can condense your learning into manageable increments.

6 hour days are simply not necessary. (2 of my 4 kids absolutely can not handle 6 hours 5 days a week)

4. You can take breaks whenever you want.

No more notes from the teacher about your wiggle worm. Frequent breaks are welcome at home! (Quick bike rides, skate board breaks etc.)

5. Your kids can learn whatever they want.

Children learn so much better when they actually have a say in what they learn about.

6. No standardized test-based education.

Standardized tests have completely removed any effectiveness schools may have still possessed. (1 of my 4 would start crying for days when they found out standardized test days were coming up, so terrified of them because a teacher told them last year they scored poorly)

7. Your kids are free from negative influences.

I worry more about the socialization of kids in public school than I ever would about a homeschooled child. (Example: when attending public school my kids came home using language I didn’t want to know even existed, and when I asked the teacher about it she simply said we can’t stop them its free speech and they have the right to express themselves.)

8. Your kids are free from questionable curriculum.

Homeschool families have complete control over what their children learn. We recognize that education is about learning, not social engineering.

9. Your kids are free from questionable teaching.

It’s no secret that there are more than a few teachers who would rather spout off their political views to a captive audience, instead of actually teaching. (Growing I experienced several teachers who did this)

10. Your kids are safe from school bullies.

With the number of children who are committing suicide because of being bullied, I’m astounded that so many parents still believe that it’s better to let kids face adversity in school as a life lesson, rather than protecting them.

11. Your child is safe from increasing school violence.

From school shootings to drugs to assaults, I’m only too happy that my kids are safe at home.

12. You can embrace your child’s individuality.

Face it. Not all kids want to learn the same thing, and not all kids learn the same way. Homeschooling easily solves that problem.

13. Your child can learn at their own pace.

Schools have to keep things moving at a steady pace because they have so many students. Unfortunately, too many kids are held back, while others are left behind. Or pushed forward with zero skills to be successful in the next grade level.

14. There’s no mad morning rush.

No need to frantically locate shoes, homework, toothbrushes, and coats that were honestly laid out the night before.

15. There’s no after-school frenzy.

No more being bombarded by papers for after-school programs, questions about homework, and siblings squabbling to make up for lost time.

16. You won’t be guilted into signing up your child for every single after-school enrichment program known to man.

“But, Mom! My teacher said if we don’t take this class we won’t get a “proficient” on our PSSAs!”

17. No more fundraisers.

Enough said.

18. You have the freedom to stay up late whenever you want to or need to.

After all, you can always sleep in.

19. You don’t have to ask permission to take your kids on vacation.

It boggles my mind that parents have to answer to principals over whether or not their kids are “allowed” to go on vacation.

20. You get playgrounds and museums all to yourself.

As a mom of many, it is such a relief to not have to try to keep an eye on my kids in the midst of a slew of other kids. Plus you usually meet other awesome homeschool families!

21. Your kids will have the benefit of one-on-one learning.

Schools simply can’t offer that. If you give your child just 15 minutes of one-on-one time that’s 95% (possibly even 98%) more than they would get at public school.

22. Your children will get a superior education.

Children who are interested and engaged will invariably learn so much better than children who are simply talked to at all day and assigned textbook pages to complete.

23. Your kids will have more time to be kids.

When your children don’t have others telling them how to dress, how to act, and who to like, they can grow up free to develop at their own pace and just enjoy being kids.

24. Your kids have a chance to develop hobbies.

When your children don’t come home as burnt out zombies they have free time to take music lessons, singing lessons, art lessons, build a wood project, make jewelry….do anything that interests them. They are all things that lead to great new life skills.

25. YOU cannot fail.

NO ONE love your kids more than YOU. You are the superhero. You know exactly what makes your child tick and how to reach them. When we first started homeschooling I was terrified I would let them down that somehow I was not qualified to do this. BUT that was just a huge lie straight from the devil. God gave ME these children and therefore I AM more than qualified because God chose ME! Guess what? That means so are YOU!

Homeschooling is not all rainbows and sunshine. There are REALLY tough days, but that’s just life and what a FANTASTIC learning experience those tough days turn out to be…you get to navigate those days TOGETHER. Your kids will see you totally lose it, but they’ll also see you turn around with humility and love to say hey I’m sorry let’s start over.

Jurassic Adventures

Posted on March 9, 2019 by Daniel & April

Underwhelmed would be an understatement…

We were provided tickets through our homeschool program, thankfully. I would have been even more disappointed if I had used my hard earned cash to pay for my family of six.

It would have cost us $180+ tax to attend their event. Not to mention half of things inside required you to by additional tickets to participate.

The first half with the animatronic dinosaur set up was neat, but they were not well maintained and the displays were dull.

The speakers that were playing the dinosaur sounds were awful quality. It seemed like the speakers were blown.

There was a small Dino Dig area that the younger kids really enjoyed. It was a sandbox with dinosaur bones underneath.

Opposite side of the Dino Dig was three bounce houses that were not anything spectacular.

The second half of the dinosaur arena was where the “rides” were. From their website they made their rides sound cooler than what was actually there. The rides require you to buy tickets which were $20 for 6 tickets and each ride was two tickets.

When the site says you can ride dinosaurs and it shows a picture but not quite a whole picture. These rides don’t actually go anywhere in fact it moves about as much as those “rides” you see in front of grocery stores.

The disappointment on just about every parents face was pretty obvious.

We were expecting something exciting that we’d want to spend all day at. Instead we barely stayed an hour.

If you like throwing away money for a mediocre memory then I’d suggest this event. If you care how you use your hard earned money then I suggest looking elsewhere for a fun educational event.

Simple Egg Drop Soup

Posted on March 4, 2019 by Daniel & April
Simple Healthy Egg Drop Soup

Ingredients

  • 5 Cups of Bone Broth (Chicken or Beef)
  • 4 Green Onions
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Cup of Mushrooms
  • 6 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbs of Corn Starch

We made ours to feed 8 people so you can adjust it according to your own needs.

First dice your green onions, garlic & mushrooms. Take your diced ingredients and place them in your soup pot with the 1/2 tsp of olive oil. Saute until your mushrooms have browned. Next you’ll add your bone broth into the pot. While you are waiting for it to come to a boil crack your eggs and whisk them in a separate bowl. Then get a half cup of water and mix your 1 Tbs of corn starch into the water. Once your corn starch is completely dissolved and your pot is now boiling add your corn starch mixture into the pot by stirring the mixture in as you pour. (You may substitute corn starch for coconut milk) Let your pot return to a good boil then stir it so you get a nice swirl going and pour in your whisked eggs. Continue to stir after your eggs are in and you should see nice loose egg strings. Lastly add your salt & pepper let boil a few minutes then it’s ready to serve!

Benefits of bone broth

The following are some of the top benefits of consuming bone broth:

1. It is highly nutritious

Bones themselves are rich in vitamins and nutrients, including calcium, magnesium, and phosphorous.

Also, brewing connective tissue into bone broth provides the body with natural compounds from the cartilage.

Tissues and bones also contain collagen. Cooking collagen turns it to gelatin, which provides the body with amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins.

It is not possible to say how much of any nutrient will be in a particular batch of bone broth, since this largely depends on the type and quantity of the bones and tissues that went into it.

However, it may be best to include many different types of bones and tissues for the highest amount of nutrients.

Bone marrow is rich in nutrients such as:

  • iron
  • vitamins A and K
  • fatty acids
  • selenium
  • zinc
  • manganese

Bone broth may provide trace amounts of these nutrients, and many claim that consuming it is an easy way to take in these nutrients in a form that is easier to digest.

2. It may protect the joints

Bone broth is a source of gelatin, which may break down into collagen in the body. This is especially important in the joints.

Cartilage in the joints tends to wear down or shrink through continual use. This can add more stress to the joints, which may become damaged as a result of the added pressure.

A 2017 review that appears in the journal Sports Medicine suggests that both laboratory and animal studies show that gelatin supplementation increases the amount of collagen in the tissues. This may help protect the joints from unnecessary stress.

Consuming bone broth may be a good way to add gelatin to the diet, which may help protect these joints.

3. It may help fight osteoarthritis

The compounds present in bone broth help maintain the joints, and they may also help people who already have osteoarthritis.

A 2016 study in the Nutrition Journal looked at the effects of type 2 collagen in people who had osteoarthritis symptoms in their knees. The collagen came from the connective tissue of chickens.

Its results show that collagen can improve knee joint symptoms, such as pain, stiffness, and poorer physical function, in people with osteoarthritis.

Consuming bone broth may be an easy way to deliver the same type of collagen, along with other helpful nutrients, to the body.

4. It may help reduce inflammation and heal the gut

Some amino acids present within bone broth may also be helpful for digestion. An amino acid called glutamine seems very promising.

As a 2017 study in the journal Current Opinion in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolic Care notes, glutamine supplementation helps heal the intestinal barrier in human and animal models.

This may help with conditions such as leaky gut, which irritates the mucosal lining in the intestines and interferes with the body’s ability to digest food.

As a 2017 study in the journal Nutrients says, people with inflammatory bowel disease tend to have lower levels of some amino acids in their bodies. For these people, getting additional amino acids into their diets may help with some symptoms of the condition.

Drinking bone broth daily may be a simple way to get anti-inflammatory amino acids into the body.

5. It may aid sleep

The amino acids in bone broth may also promote better sleep in some people. A 2015 study in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology reports that the amino acid glycine is a safe therapeutic option to improve sleep.

People who take glycine before going to sleep may feel that they sleep better and have less fatigue during the following day. For these people, drinking bone broth with a simple dinner may help provide this glycine.

6. It may support weight loss

Bone broth may also help people lose weight. It is high in protein, which helps the body feel fuller for longer and supports calorie restriction.

A 2017 study in the Journal of Renal Nutrition points out that the average cup of chicken bone broth contains more protein than the average cup of basic chicken broth.

Drinking bone broth or making a simple soup may be a beneficial way to add more protein to the diet and feel more satisfied with a meal without consuming too many calories.

Refreshing Summer Drink Ideas

Posted on April 24, 2018 by Daniel & April

Summer is here! Well in Central California at least! Here’s a healthy & tasty way to keep cool!

Cucumbers are very refreshing and hydrating. While they are composed mostly of water, the skin is rich in fiber and contains silica, potassium, and magnesium. A lot of people don’t like the skins of cucumbers, but they are worth eating so you can get those minerals. Make sure you use organic cucumbers if you’re going to eat the skin.

Coconut water is very hydrating and is full of natural electrolytes.

Parsley is full of nutrition with a large amount of available vitamin K, C, and A, along with anti-oxidants that help cleanse the blood. Parsley is also a great source of folic acid, which is one of the most important B vitamins. To green smoothies and beverages, parsley adds a mild “green” flavor that is light and refreshing. Because of the high nutritional value of parsley, I’ve started keeping it on hand regularly and I use it in just about everything.

You could add a variety of ingredients to this recipe. Watermelon would be divine. Honeydew would also be a delicious flavor to compliment the cucumber and citrus.

Ingredients

• 2 cups coconut water

• 1 small cucumber, washed and thinly sliced or chopped

• ½ cup fresh lemon juice

• 1 large bunch parsley, chopped fine

• 1 tsp. fresh, grated ginger

• ½ tsp raw honey

• ice

Instructions

There are two ways you can make this – it’s delicious either way:

1. Chop the cucumber and parsley and add to a quart jar. Add the honey, coconut water, lemon juice, and ice. With a tight fitting lid, shake vigorously until combined. Serve immediately. When you get done with the beverage, you’ll have a fresh little salad in the bottom of your glass. Some people might think this is weird – I thought it was tasty.

2. In a blender, add all the ingredients, except the ice and pulse to combine. Pour over ice and serve. If you want it more like a slushee texture, add some ice and blend to desired consistency.

Laundry Hazards

Posted on April 11, 2018 by Daniel & April

Lately I’ve noticed a big push in advertising for laundry sanitation products. As a mom it seems like I do hundreds of loads of laundry each week from germ covered kiddos so I figured I’d do some investigation.

After contacting the company I found out a lot about this product.

This product DOES GO in the fabric softener dispenser. It does NOT get added to detergent in the wash cycle. It absolutely CANNOT come into contact with laundry detergents, softeners or any other products.

It needs to go in the final rinse and remain for a minimum of 16 minutes to even be effective!

The warnings listed on the label are scary and the product specialist even stated “to take them 100% seriously.”

So should you have this in your home? Well I’ll tell you no way will it ever come into my home! There’s several ways to safely sanitize your laundry without risking your health or your families safety!

Here’s just some of the fine print on the product….

Product Warnings:

Eyes: Get medical attention immediately. Call a poison center or physician. Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Check for and remove any contact lenses. Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes. Chemical burns must be treated promptly by a physician.

Inhaled: Get medical attention immediately. Call a poison center or physician. Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If it is suspected that fumes are still present, the rescuer should wear an appropriate mask or self-contained breathing apparatus. If not breathing, if breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by trained personnel. It may be dangerous to the person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately. Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.

Skin: Get medical attention immediately. Call a poison center or physician. Wash with plenty of soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash contaminated clothing thoroughly with water before removing it, or wear gloves. Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes. Chemical burns must be treated promptly by a physician. In the event of any complaints or symptoms, avoid further exposure. Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly before reuse.

Ingested: Get medical attention immediately. Call a poison center or physician. Wash out mouth with water. Remove dentures if any. Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If material has been swallowed and the exposed person is conscious, give small quantities of water to drink. Stop if the exposed person feels sick as vomiting may be dangerous. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs. Chemical burns must be treated promptly by a physician. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately. Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.

Handling Instructions:

Eyes: Safety eyewear complying with an approved standard should be used when a risk assessment indicates this is necessary to avoid exposure to liquid splashes, mists, gases or dusts. If contact is possible, the following protection should be worn, unless the assessment indicates a higher degree of protection: chemical splash goggles and/ or face shield. If inhalation hazards exist, a full-face respirator may be required instead.

Skin: Chemical-resistant, impervious gloves complying with an approved standard should be worn at all times when handling chemical products if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary. Considering the parameters specified by the glove manufacturer, check during use that the gloves are still retaining their protective properties. It should be noted that the time to breakthrough for any glove material may be different for different glove manufacturers. In the case of mixtures, consisting of several substances, the protection time of the gloves cannot be accurately estimated.

Body: Personal protective equipment for the body should be selected based on the task being performed and the risks involved and should be approved by a specialist before handling this product.

Respiratory: Use a properly fitted, air-purifying or air-fed respirator complying with an approved standard if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary. Respirator selection must be based on known or anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of the selected respirator.

Then if that’s not enough information for you… here’s the statement that sealed my decision:

Potential chronic health effects:

Once sensitized, a severe allergic reaction may occur when subsequently exposed to very low levels.

Other information:

They openly state their product was tested on animals. Specifically rats, rabbits & guinea pigs.

Here’s the real dirt on laundry:

Fresh clothes are dirtier than you’d think and you have no idea about it. It just not hygiene, there are plenty of issues that make clothes dirty even after washing. Here are few reasons:

The first reason is that washing machines are generally teaming up with microbes.

Even if you sanitize washing machines, you’ll end up washing mixed loads. So by the time wash cycle is complete, the clothes would still be dirty.

Ordinary detergents just remove dirt from the top layer. The deeper layers and clothe fiber remains home to pathogens even after washing.

The use of natural laundry sanitizer or some home remedies can ensure that clothes not only sparkle, but become really clean inside out.

Listed below are some options which you can consider for disinfecting laundry:

1. Lavender – This aromatic herb is used for variety of issues, in form of essence and oil. The most basic use is of its aroma. It is also used for improving immune system, getting relief from allergies and relaxing. But where can it be used as fabric sanitizer?

By just adding 1- 2 drops along with unscented detergent will render clothes pleasant smell, and disinfect them. Lavender has anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

2. Tea Tree oil –Another good and natural solution to disinfect laundry. Tea Tree essential oil has been noted for its antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties. This is why it is an important ingredient base for most cosmetics, detergent etc. Putting 2-3 drops of Tea Tree oil in the washing machine, with preferably unscented detergent sanitizes laundry. Besides, it gives a tinge of good smell to clothes.

3. Vinegar and Baking Soda – This combination not only works for white clothes, but has many uses for laundry care. Vinegar can be used as a fabric softener. A drop of essential oils like Lavender, Pine, Tea Tree Oil, spruce, pine, orange etc can be added to give clothes a pleasant smell. This mixture can be added during the rinse cycle.

If you use vinegar and baking soda together it will work brilliantly to remove hardest stains and help keep white clothes white. Vinegar also acts as natural disinfectant, killing germs, bacteria or mold present in the laundry, and removing soap residue as well. The backing soda acts as a natural cleaners and scrub.

Use 5 to 6 cups of vinegar, 1 cup of water, 1 cup of baking soda and 12 and 15 drops of your favorite essential oil. For a super fresh smell, lemongrass, orange, lime or lemon are good choices. Combine all the ingredients in a plastic container and use 1 cup per load as you choose

Another easy fabric softener blend is…

• 6 cups Vinegar

• 1 cup Water

• 15 drops Lemon, Orange, Lime, or Lemongrass oil

Combine all ingredients in a heavy-duty plastic container. Add 1 cup to rinse cycle for each load. You can also choose a spice oil or spice blend for the essential oil(s).

4. Grapefruit Seed Extract – With 10 percent extract in 90 percent water you can create a great disinfecting liquid and dip laundry one by one in it. Or you can run the grapefruit extract in between the rinse cycle to make your laundry hygienic.

5. Some Other Important Tips:

• Try washing clothes with hot water. Often cold water is used to save electricity.

• Avoid mixed loads. If not this, then at least exclude undergarments. Wash them separately.

• Clean washing machines regularly with hot water and detergent.

• Use a good laundry sanitizer disinfectant to ensure clean clothes.

• Soak kitchen towels and rugs in  a few drops of Tea Tree oil, Eucalyptus oil or Lavender in water before washing them in the machines.
